Hiring a Plumbing Contractor
filed in Randomness on Nov.14, 2011
Hiring a plumber in the old days meant all you had to do was pick up the yellow pages book and you would find plumbers there in the plumbing category.
Nowadays all I have to do is a quick search in a search engine like google and I can find specific types of services provided from local plumbers like drain specialists for tough drainage problems and sewer or sink backups.
I can do another search for plumbing contractors that will do all the plumbing for a new home being built or one that is being renovated. A quick and easy way to get multiple quotes from local plumbing contractors is to send out your detailed requirements in an email and send out as many requests for quotes as you need from local plumbers without the hassle of calling each one individually.
You can ask in your emails to have each prospective plumbing company to send you samples of work or projects they have worked on and references from other satisfied clients they have worked for. You don’t even need to put your phone number in your emails so you don’t have the company calling you, you can simply call back the ones that you think are the best fit for your project.
Once you have a short list of prospective plumbers you can check their track record with the better business bureau, the local plumbers association or even call or email previous customers or look for testimonials from other clients.
The most important thing you can check is to make sure the company you finally decide to hire is licensed and insured or bonded.
If you are in the Ottawa Ontario area you can find Ottawa Plumbers, Ottawa Plumbing Repairs, and Ottawa Plumbing Contractors in Ottawa Ontario Canada.
