I don’t believe I must tell anyone this economy is troublesome and many folks have been having a pretty difficult time. I lost my job about four months ago when the company where I was working closed down 2 of their production lines and my brother in law, Barney got his pink slip last month when his office announced that they were closing the doors completely.

Both of us had spent a fair amount of time and energyattempting to find new roles but with no luck. However, we were clear on the fact that we continue to needed earnings to pay our bills and support our families so Barney and I decided to go into for ourselves.

We had no clear idea on what this effort would be as my only real ability and experience was in producing washing machines and Barney had worked as a quality controls inspector at a candy factory. However, my young neighbor convinced us that rap music, rappers and that hip hop lifestyle was the hottest expansion trend in our country today. Now I must admit that both Barney and I agree that the entire’rapper scene’ is just plain dumb but if it earns then who are we to argue.

Somehow we decided to go after the jewelry segment of the hip hop market with the plan that we could start off rather small and just offer our merchandise for sale at flea markets until we could afford to open a real store. So, our next task was to find a wholesale hip hop watches outlet.

We quickly discovered we had a significant problem in that we used to be a new business with no track record and no credit report which implied that no-one would sell us any inventory excepting cash. They were all extraordinarily polite to reassure us that credit arrangements would be available after we were established but it was all going to be cash on delivery at the beginning. Well, we eventually got our money together. Not especially as much as we wanted but enough to at least buy some starter inventory and get the project rolling and we had also found some promising wholesale outlets that we presumed we could deal comfortably with. However, none of these wholesale sellers was in out town so we were going to need to which meant making airline and hotel reservations.

Getting the airline reservations was very easy and most of the hotels now subscribe to hotel GDS that made dealing with them also pretty simple.
