The Maestro range of furniture manufactured by Dams International is possibly the most popular ranges of business furniture ever manufactured. The success of Maestro office furniture is based upon a formula of Maestro offering excellent value for money, Maestro furniture is very hard wearing and functional, and Maestro offers a wide choice of modular furniture products. Maestro is the ideal choice for both budget conscious businesses or the office furniture buyer.

Maestro desks are available in a choice of three basic designs (L shaped, wave and rectangular desks) each with a selection of sizes and a choice of leg designs from wooden panel end and a grey powder coated metal cantilever design. Over the years Maestro products have been manufactured in many different melamine faced woodgrain effect finishes. Recently the range has been restricted to a choice of beech or oak woodgrain effect finish, though cherry and light grey Maestro products have only recently been discontinued and for limited items residual stocks may still be available.

If there is any drawback to using Maestro office furniture, it is the fact that it is manufactured from 18mm MFC woodgrain effect chipboard which can make it look slightly too inexpensive for some customers requirements, though it’s hard wearing rugged durability should not be in doubt despite its low cost. The business office furniture market has swung firmly towards 25mm furniture ranges over the last few years which usually looks a lot more expensive. A sensible upgrade path from Maestro furniture is the Maestro 25 range (often known as M25 furniture).

Maestro 25 desks are only around 10% or 15% more expensive than Maestro desks, but they appear a much better quality and give a more positive impression. The two ranges can be fitted in the same office and will not stick out like a sore thumb. A key thing to note is that M25 desking products only come in standard metric depths and widths (800mm deep and metric widths like 1200mm, 1400mm, 1600mm etc.) whereas Maestro desks comes in unusual depths and widths (746mm deep and widths like 1228mm, 1532mm, 1778mm etc.) This size issue is only an issue if you try to fit a Maestro 25 desk onto a cluster of 18mm Maestro desks.
