One of my main focal points as a mom is creating wonderful memories for my daughter. To execute this, I frequently refer back to my personal memories. So, in a store one day I saw a really affordable chess set. Now, I like to play chess. When I was a child I learned the game on a chess set that was constructed of marble and had it’s own marble table. I thought it was beautiful then and now. While I can’t buy anything as costly as that, I can nonetheless afford to purchase a set. So, I bought the cut-rate one I saw and it ended up rooted on a shelf compiling dust.

My son really didn’t appear caught up in learning and I had no one to play it with to demonstrate to him how enjoyable it could be. Well, my nephew dropped by the other day and saw some chess sets sitting on the shelf. His eyes got big and round and he shouted “I didn’t know you played chess!” I like and I especially love my nephews. It is important to me to be a percentage of their future gratifying memories. I was ecstatic that my nephew would want to play chess with me and eventually, my boy found an interest because he discovered my nephew and I playing. Apparently I completed two things at one time!

I was astonished at the choices purchasable when I went searching for a chess set for a gift. Glass, wooden, plastic, crystal, stone, and even lavish sets were visible. Then there were the sizes, from traveling sized chess pieces less than a quarter inch high, to waist-high sets that I’m not positive how you can experience the wide picture of the game you are playing. Chess sets are available in a wide variety of locations, from gift shops in airports to department shops, to specialty stores and naturally on the web. Discovering the consummate set can be as challenging as mastering this arduous game.

I enjoy relaxing time with my hubby. We do not get alot of it however when we have a few hours we like to get out the chess set and relish a game. It is so loosening for us as a couple to sit back and relish the challenge and attainment involved in the game of chess. At some point we will instruct our kids the strategy of winning but for now it is just for us. If you require a way to decompress at the end of a frantic workweek or simply enjoy different experiences then chess is the game for you.
